About Us

Bhartiya Mahila Gramodyog Sansthan (B.M.G.S.) is a non-profit non-Governmental Organization working since last 18 years in social sector B.M.G.S. is registered under society registration Act 1860 under Sec. 21. The B.M.G.S. was conceived by a group of women's elevate status of poor communities in the northern part of the country The B.M.G.S. started its development campaign by organising the women and imparting awareness initiatives in different walks of their life such as civic responsibilities, poverty elevation through income generation activities, skill up gradation etc. Latter on the organisation realized need of diversification of its activities and the activities like vocational skill building, micro credit, social forestry , health care, capacity building, livestock etc. were also undertaken as per emerging needs of the area. The organisation has a team of expert management and committed staff to work effectively for the cause under all circumstances.

B.M.G.S. has implemented various projects under Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of Rural Development (Govt. of India), Ministry of Panchayatiraj Govt. of U.P., Serve Shiksha Abhiyan U.P. and Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles (Govt. Of India) B.M.G.S. is also running Jan Shikshan Sansthan at Dist. Katni (M.P.) sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development Govt. of India to provide Literacy & Vocation Training in various Trades.

Past Experiences

Health Centre

health centre was established a vill. Niriya Tehsil Karchhana. Dist. Allahabad (U.P) with the help of UPHSDP Lucknow to provide health service to the disadvantage section of the society.

Plantation

Nursery and plantation programme was carried out at Vill. Baghera Karchhana Allahabad with the help of Ministry of forest and Environment to use waste land for better environment.

S.T.E.P

Support to Training & Employment Program for women empowerment the Training center was established at Vill. Baghera, Karchhana, Dist. Allahabad (U.P.) sponsored by Ministry of women and child development GOI. to provide Training on Handicrafts (Embroidery, Hand Block Printing, Cane/Bamboo)for self employment to needy and poor women.

(K.G.B.V)(For the period 2008-2012)

A scheme under Serve Shiksha Abhiyan (U.P). In the name of Kasturba Gandhi Avasiya Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) was setup by the organization to run residential school with boarding facilites at elementary level for Dropout girls belonging predominantly to the SC, ST, OBC and minorities in Khorabar Block of Dist Gorakhpur (U.P).

Handicraft Exhibition/ Craft Bazar/ Gandhi Shilp Bazar/National Handicraft fair

To provide direct marketing platform to the artisans organized Craft Bazar/Gandhi Shilp Bazar organized with the help of office of development commissioner (H) Ministry of Textiles GOI in Allahabad(U.P.). 150-200 Artisans Participated in each Craft Bazar/Gandhi Shilp Bazar.

Women shelter home (Swadhar) (2008-10)

Swadhar home was established at Shanti Niketan Mahuwari Mirzapur Road Naini Allahabad. Supported by Ministry of Women and Child Development GOI. to Provide Shelter for needy and Helpless women.

Ujjawala

Ujjawala Rehabilitation centre scheme was implemented at Vill. Mahuari Block Chaka Naini Allahabad. Scheme Sponsored by Ministry of Women and Child Dvelopment to prevent trafficking of women and children for commercial sexual exploitation.

AIDS (T.I.PROJECT)

AIDS T.I Project was implemented at katni M.P. sponsored by M.P. State AIDS Control society The objective of project was prevention against HIV/AIDS

Nai Roshani (Leadership Development Programme for Minority Womens)

Leadership development programme (Nai Roshani) for minority women was organized in Dist. Bijnore (U.P) supported by Ministry of Minority Affair GOI The aim of this programme was to develop Leadership in Minority Women.

Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana launched by the office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) has brought the scattered Artisans on one platform by mobilizing them into self help Groups. After various training like Skill upgradation, designs workshop, training, Integrated project, EDP etc. Now artisans are making new and modern popular products according to need of the market. Approximate 300 Artisans were Benefited through scheme by our organization at Allahabad.

Capacity Building Programme (BRGF)

The Capacity Building Programme for elected member of Gram Panchayat was organized in Dist. Deoria (U.P). Capacity Building Programme was supported by Panchayati Raj Lucknow. The aim of programme was to provide knowledge about their role and representative of Gram Panchayat.

Seminar On Handicraft Scheme

Seminar on awareness of office of D.C.(H) scheme under R & D was organized at Allahabad supported by O/o DC(H). the objective of the seminar was to create awareness among artisans, SHG, NGOs, regarding scheme of O/o Development commissioner (Handicraft)

H.R.D Training through Established Institution (2010-2015)

H.R.D Training was set up at G-63 Industrial area Naini, Allahabad. Sponsored by office of Development Cmmissioner(H) Ministry of Textiles GOI to Provide institution Training on computerized embroidery & wood Carving craft. Total 550 Artisans were benifited from this project.

Jan Shikshan Sansthan-Katni (M.P)

The Scheme of Jan Shikshan Sansthan (Earlier called Shramik Vidhya Peeth) to provide vocational training & Literacy program for Illiterate & Neo literate. Supported by Ministry of Human Resource Development GOI. Scheme is being implemented at Dist. Katni (M.P) by the organization and approx. 2000 beneficiaries per year are getting benefited out of this scheme.

Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (A.H.V.Y) in Stone Craft at Katni (M.P)

Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojna (Stone Craft) is being implemented at Rithi Block Dist. Katni (M.P) to benifit 1000 Artisans sponsored by the office of development comissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textile GOI. The aim of A.H.V.Y is brought the scattered artisans on one platform of community enterprise by mobilizing them in to self help groups, Skill up gradation Training & new Design Development for Artisans.

B.M.G Degree College

B.M.G Degree College is established at Vill. Baghera Karchhana Allahabad affiliated by Chatrapati Shahuji Maharraj Vishavidhalayakanpur (U.P) to provide heigher education in remote & uncovered areas. D.EI.Ed Programme:- approved by NCTE and affiliated by Govt of U.P is running at Vill baghera Karchhana Allahabad.

  • Establishment of Women Technology Park at Baghera Karchhana Dist. Allahabad to Provide Technical Training to poor and needy Womens in Guava Processing, Terracotta craft, Moonj Craft and Bamboo craft.
  • Supply of New Improved Tool Kit to the 800 Stone craft Artisans at Dist. Katni (M.P.)

An english medium science stream inter college is established at vill. Baghera Karchhana, Allahabad affiliated by Madhymik Shiksha Parishad uttar Pradesh to provide basic quality education in remote area.

B.M.G public school is an English medium junior high school established at Vill. Baghera Karchhana, Allahabad affiliated by U.P government. to provide quality education in remote area.
